Hi, I am Travis and I founded Headwaters Tax to be different.

I have over a decade of experience in complex wealth management and have run a tax firm for years along side my wealth practice. In that time, I have come to realize that the human-connection element has been lost in the world of tax and I strive every day to bring it back. I use my expertise in clear communication and interpersonal problem solving to take difficult problems people face and talk through them so that they are not only solved but understood.

I specialize in equity compensation, small business, real estate, advanced tax strategies and crypto taxes but I am happy to go anywhere that might prove helpful.

I live in Bozeman Montana with my wife and 4 children. When the kids allow it, I love to spend time reading, gaming and indoor/outdoor rock climbing. My passion in life is trying to understand why things work the way they work. This exploration has led me to many interesting places and I am just as happy to talk physics, philosophy or geo-politics as I am to talk taxes and money.
